Chelan Simmons didn't want to do the tanning booth scene topless, but she agreed after director James Wong convinced her that it was necessary because it made the scene more realistic. It was her first time doing on-screen nudity and she was very nervous. However, since the set was closed off and only the cameraman was present, both she and Crystal Lowe, who was also topless, felt more comfortable. After this she realized being naked wasn't a big deal, which made her more open to performing nude again in films such as Good Luck Chuck (2007) and Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010).
